Mention the word “holiday” and most people would usually envision two types: the type that entails a lot of eating or shopping; or the type that entails endless lazy days by the beach or the pool. Don’t get me wrong, I love doing all of those things as well but my idea of a real vacation is being able to catch up on on the things that I can’t get enough of in Singapore because I’m too busy with work. And for me, that means getting lots of exercise and doing lots of active, outdoorsy things.
One of the reasons I love Chiang Mai so much is for the variety of activities available for the energetic and the restless. The mountainous region of Northern Thailand is a favourite among backpackers because of the many trekking options available. Besides trekking, Chiang Mai is also a great place for white-water rafting. But since I’m not much of a water creature, I decided to stick with land-based activities – like boxing and ziplining. But more on that in a bit.
Knowing that I was going to be in the sun for prolonged periods of time, I was determined not to make the same mistake I made on previous trips, which was slacking off on my beauty routine. I still recall the nightmare of having to do damage control on my rough, red, flaking skin after one too many hours in the sun. It wasn’t a pretty sight.
Before the trip, I met up with Joey from Elizabeth Arden where she passed me the entire Visible Whitening range. Having previously tried Elizabeth Arden Prevage Anti-aging Daily Serum and seeing incredible results, I was hoping the Visible Whitening range would be just what I needed to counter the effects of prolonged sun exposure. Was I to be proven right?
