What do the 80s and 90s have in common? Both decades were once reviled and made fun of for the questionable fashion, but they have the last laugh, as designers have increasingly been inspired by these 20 years in recent times.
I grew up in the 90s and I have only the fondest memories of it. Captain Planet and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were a formative part of my childhood and bands such as Nirvana, Green Day and Third Eye Blind tided me over my angsty teenage years. My fondness for anything punk or grunge is probably why the reason I fell in love with Aussie brand Evil Twin‘s Fall/Winter collection “No Guts, No Glory” at the first sight. Oversized muscle tees, acid-washed denim and a generous lashing of leather make this the perfect collection for grownup tomboys who unabashedly declare, “I love the 90s!”
Evil Twin’s Fall/Winter collection “No Guts, No Glory” is available exclusively at http://www.thewyldshop.com from June 26, 2013. Prices range from $65 to $199.
